This 556 page novel is the fist of Pat Conroy’s that I have strapped on. Against the sumptuous backdrop of Charleston, South Carolina, South of Broad gathers a unique cast of sinners and saints. Leopold Bloom King, the narrator, nightly takes me to the deep south. I see and hear things my family would say, having lived in the “Southern” setting.
I put the book down every evening wishing I lived in Charleston, and visiting the beautiful parks and enjoying the sweet tea and joys of Southern life.

In his first collection of short stories John Grisham allows us to retrun to Ford Country, Mississippi, the setting of his very first novel, a Time to Kill.
Throughout every story I found my self wanting more - wow why didnt he continue this one more chapter. It was a great page turner, for those avid Grisham readers who are fearful of another Painted House. Don’t Pick it up and read you will find it a great joy.
